Pataya again and again …

Gerry’s part 24

Got back to Pattaya on Monday morning. Emily caught a flight early in the morning. I, of course, did a regular tour on the way to the bus station…through China town where I bought a bunch of dim sum in their takeaway shops.

I didn’t stop at the electronics market as I was there the day before. That was interesting as I found out that the silk market is in the other end and on the second floor of the Old Siam Centre which is across the street. For those who care it’s a six blocks or so from Chinatown. The day before I bought a whole bunch of silk. The woman was very happy as it was the first sale of the day and she invited me back to buy a bunch the next day.

…. and life has been pretty good

Getty’s part 23

Came into Pattaya about a week ago and life has been pretty good.

First the condo was just about has I left it except the electricity had gone down and all the food in the fridge was lost. The landlord is trying to sell the condo and had been showing it while I was gone. I guess the fridge had started to smell and they noticed. With the temperature in the condo running above 80 degrees it wouldn’t take long. I’m not sure why the fridge wouldn’t have come on once the power had come back.
